Assembly Candidate Rick Zaccaria Greets Northside Residents with Free Coffee and Conversation

Candidate for NYS Assembly’s 129th District To Offer Free Coffee Friday Morning at Biscotti’s Café From 7-9am

August 19, 2014 Syracuse, New York- For many Central New Yorkers the best conversation of the day is in the morning, over a good cup of coffee. We tend to talk about family, sports, what’s going on in the news... and politics. On Friday morning between 7:00am-9:00am, at Biscotti Café & Gelateria, 741 North Salina Street, Central New York folks can do just that... with a free cup of Joe.

Rick Zaccaria, Candidate for the 129th Assembly seat wants to talk with the voters in his district to find out their concerns face to face. According to Zaccaria, “I’m not your typical professional politician, in fact, I’m not really a politician at all, I’m a local businessman and a family man with roots that run deep in this community. Many people, like the current 8 term incumbent who has held this seat, rely on polls and consultants to strategize their talking points... I prefer talking face to face to the people I’m going to represent.” Zaccaria went on, “I think you can get a much better understanding for the concerns of a person and a community by just talking over a cup of coffee. So, Friday morning, the coffee is on me.”

A lifelong resident of Central New York, Rick Zaccaria’s focus is on bringing honor, integrity and openness back to State government and actually representing all the people of the 129th district. Rick is a successful local businessman with an innate sense for business growth and development.

Upstate is losing out on school funding

Correction: Rick Zaccaria is the Republican candidate for the 129th Assembly District. He is running against the district's Democratic incumbent

To the Editor:

The problems with funding our public education system have become apparent in recent years. As a parent and grandparent, I'm afraid our children's futures will be determined by petty, partisan politics.

Schools are the heart and soul of our communities, and our teachers should know exactly where they stand every year. Budgets should never contain surprises for our children, teachers or communities. For this reason, I support the creation of an independent commission to allocate state education aid.
